We are the Dewey’s, Joe, Courtney, and Sonshine, and we
serve the Lord as a family through the ministry of Cru. Within Cru we minister
to college students on 13 college campuses in NE Minnesota and NW Wisconsin in
a region called the Greater Twin Ports. God has specifically prepared and
gifted each one of us for this ministry and has given us a special calling to
be a part of His work amongst young people.
As an engineer, Joe gained solution driven mindset, which
God is now using to help him actively point students to Christ. Although his
college years were spent in rebellion, God is redeeming his failures and making
them strengths and He seeks out many
lost believers struggling through their college years.
Courtney is passionate about seeing people come to Christ.
As a freshman in college God opened her heart’s eyes to the truth of the
Gospel. In leaving her broken identity behind, she goes forth with an acute awareness
for those who are just as lost as she was. With the healing power of the Holy
Spirit she is connecting one individual at a time to the love of Christ.
Sonshine…well, she is sunshine, bright, warm, attractive and
full of life! Her name is comes from Matthew 5:16, “Let you light so shine
before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in
heaven.”
